? Filipino History in Austria Exhibition
Step back in time and explore the captivating journey of Filipino history in Austria. Through interactive exhibits, artifacts, and multimedia presentations, youâll discover the rich tapestry of connections between the Filipino diaspora and Austria. Gain insights into the lives, struggles, and contributions of Filipinos who have made Austria their home.
? Third Culture Kids Language Learning Workshop
For the globally minded, KUBĂ is excited to introduce a workshop tailored to third culture kids. Explore the joys and challenges of learning languages while navigating diverse cultural landscapes. Language experts and TCKs will share their experiences and strategies for multilingual proficiency.
âCultural Values â Paaralan sa Pasuguan at sa Sentro (KUBO23)â will be the first workshop for the whole event. The workshop will be given by Arlene CastaĂąeda, head of Sentro (Sentro ng Kultura at Wika ng Austria at Pilipinas/Zentrum fĂźr Osterreichische und Philippinische Kultur und Sprachen/Center for Austrian and Filipino Culture and Languages ) and Helen May Custodio, a middle school teacher based in Vienna. The workshop will be held in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy and Permanent Mission Vienna.

? Collaboration Space for Artists and Creatives
Calling all artists, designers, and creatives! This yearâs festival brings you a dedicated collaboration space where innovative minds converge. Share ideas, embark on joint projects, and ignite new creative ventures that bridge cultures and push boundaries.
All days â Art Exhibits : indulge yourself in the many works of arts on display by Filipino artists in Austria. There will be a range of genre, medium, and individual expressions from established and budding artists. There will also be visiting artists from the Philippines who will grace the exhibit with some of their works.
? Showcasing of Talents â From Dancing to Painting
Prepare to be mesmerized by a kaleidoscope of talent on display. From captivating dance performances that fuse traditional Filipino moves with contemporary flair, to soul-stirring vocal renditions and masterful displays of musical prowess, our stage will come alive with the beauty of Filipino artistic expression. An art gallery will also feature stunning paintings that tell stories of identity, heritage, and innovation.

KUBĂ is organized by Sentro and volunteers. Sentro is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political association. Its main goal is to highlight the importance of both Filipino and Austrian cultures for the identity of children and youth born/raised in Austria. The association was founded in Vienna in 2010 by Arlene CastaĂąeda and has been directed by her since then, engaging in may projects aimed to bridge the gap between the countries a third culture kid should know and love.

How To Get To The Venue :
To get to the Kulturgarage, you can use public transportation options available in the city. The venue is at Seestadt, a modern urban development area in the 22nd district of Vienna. Here are the general ways to get there using public transportation:
Using Viennaâs Public Transportation System (Wiener Linien):
- Subway (U-Bahn): The most common way to reach Seestadt is by using the Vienna subway system. Take the U2 line to the direction of âSeestadtâ and get off at âAspern Nord.â Take bus 84AÂ get off at Ilse-Buck-StraĂe â walk a little back to the building entrance (station will be on the side of the Kulturgarage building).
- Tram (StraĂenbahn): You can also take tram line 26, which connects various parts of Vienna to Seestadt. Coming from stations Floridsdorf, Kagran, Kagranerplatz, take tram 26 until the end station Hausfeldstrasse. Take U2 line to Seestadt and get off there or at âAspern Nord.â Take bus 84A and get off at Ilse-Buck-StraĂe.
- If you decide to go on the scenic route, get off at Seestadt and walk across the bridge to the Kulturgarage.
By Car:
To get to Seestadt by car, youâll need to consider your starting point within Vienna or any nearby city. Here are general directions to Seestadt from Vienna city center:
- Starting Point: Vienna City Center
- Begin by heading northeast from the city center toward the A23 SĂźdosttangente, which is a major highway that encircles Vienna.
- Merge onto A23 (SĂźdosttangente):
- Follow the signs for A23 in the direction of Praha (Prague) / BrĂźnn (Brno) / Kagran / Stadlau.
- Take Exit 4 (Stadlau)
- After a few kilometers, take Exit 4 (Stadlau) to leave the A23 highway.
- Continue on Erzherzog-Karl-StraĂe (B3):
- After exiting the highway, merge onto Erzherzog-Karl-StraĂe (B3), which will take you further northeast.
- Turn Right onto Wagramer Str. (B8):
- After driving for a while on Erzherzog-Karl-StraĂe (B3), you will need to turn right onto Wagramer Str. (B8).
- Continue on Wagramer Str. to Seestadt:
- Stay on Wagramer Str. (B8) and continue heading northeast. Youâll start to see signs for Seestadt as you get closer.

Arrive at Seestadt:
- Follow the signs to Seestadt Aspern. The development is quite large, and you may need to use a GPS device or a navigation app to find your specific destination within Seestadt.
